Inaugural Athletic Hall of Fame

My friend Bruni M. shared this RHS Newsletter from the Class of W’70 with me, it shows a photo of Martha Zambrano and Ray Rodriguez as the Queen and King at the Class of W’70 Dal Shareis Prom, Ray Rodriguez is one of the Inductees of the Inaugural RHS Athletic Hall of Fame along with Jenny Green (Class of 1981). During the past few weeks Alumni classmates have reminded me that Ray R. was not only a Star Varsity Football player but that he was also a Star in Track & Field and as a Gymnast. I have heard that Ray R. when at RHS he used to high jump 6’5″, and as a gymnast that on the high rings he performed an “iron cross”, later Ray R. became an Educator, and for a few years he was an RHS Athletic Coach. I have no doubt that Ray Rodriguez is well deserving of being Honored as an RHS Athletic Hall of Fame member!!
